If you search for “Sandwich Bodhi” online, you will find spiritual texts, meditation guides, or vegetarian restaurant links.
But I chose the name Sandwich Bodhi for this blog because of a very different, everyday reality.
The original name I thought of was Sandwich Buddha, but I wanted this space to feel less spiritual or religious. The Bodhi tree is a real, living thing. It represents awakening, grounding, and resilience under pressure.
A sandwich is also real — it is something we eat on the run when we are trying to juggle a million things at once. And for many of us, the sandwich generation is a heavy, daily reality.
When I first signed up for Medium, I searched for tags and categories to find my community. I found endless, brilliant blogs about technology, economic trends, and peak corporate productivity. But when I searched for something relatable to a person trying to manage work while simultaneously taking care of aging parents and young kids — I found almost nothing that spoke to me.
That is why I started Sandwich Bodhi.
This blog is not about achieving spiritual enlightenment on top of a mountain. It is about finding small moments of awareness, sanity, and grit. I hope that whoever stumbles across this page will find comfort, practical guidance, and the reminder that you are not doing this alone.
